Human Dignity Coalition: Working in Central Oregon to promote and safeguard human rights.

Our three core program areas include:

Queer and Allied Youth Program: (Check out our resources_page)
We create, implement and sustain programs that support queer youth and their allies in Central Oregon.
  • We organize QYS, a safe space for queer youth and their allies to support each other and hang out.
  • We host youth interns who work to make a difference in their communities.
  • We collaborate with community partners including Baisc Rights Oregon, Oregon Safe Schools and Communities Coalition, Planned Parenthood, and Oregon GSA Network to promote a safe environment for queer youth and their allies in the schools and in the greater community.
Community Outreach and Education:

  • We offer opportunities to actively create positive change in our community and provide opportunities that promote diversity and create safe space for sexual and gender minorities and their allies.
  • We provide volunteers and interns opportunities to work within a community based advocacy organization.
  • We offer anti-oppression/cultural sensitivity trainings to youth and adult community groups, organizations, businesses, and schools.
  • We work in coalition with other social and environmental justice groups to further our mission and build the movement for progressive change.
  • We respond to injustice at the local, state, and national levels.
HDC Organizational Structure:

  • We are committed to strengthening and maintaining a healthy and viable organizational infrastructure.
  • We create and sustain a healthy and effective board, staff, volunteer and membership base.
  • We develop a realistic budget and a diverse funding portfolio.
